Friends Lake Sauna

Before you arrive to use the sauna at Friends Lake Cooperative Community, please be sure you review the information below, for your safety as well as everyone's thorough enjoyment of the sauna!

When building the fire for your time in the sauna, be sure you build the fire in the belly of the stove, past the seam between the belly and the neck of the stove. The neck is the passage from the stove door on the outside of the sauna (visible in 2) to the belly of the stove that sits entirely inside the sauna (visible in 1).

The seam is indicated by a blue arrow in both photos. So start your fire towards the back of the stove, past the seam.
